Game 7 vs capitals
The final game of the amazing Bruins vs Capitals roller-coaster ride. Regulation ended in a tie 1-1, to force another overtime in the series. The bruins played hard until they tried to clear the puck into the other zone where it was blocked and forced a breakaway. The initial goal was stopped by Thomas, but the rebound shot wasn't and ended the great season for the defending stanley cup champs.
Game 6
Game 6 was the biggest game of the season so far. The Bruins could force a game 7 or will pack their bags and the season would be over. Boston traveled to Washington to try to force a final game seven, and that is what they were able to do. The bruins came out hard and were able to win a 4-3 victory on the road to force a game seven back at home.
Game 5 vs Capitals
The Bruins head back home for game 6 and try to get momentum. After a high scoring exciting game they suffered a last second 4-3 loss. The game was tied up with under two minutes left and troy brouwer of the capitals scored with 1:27 left in the game and the Bruins couldnt score another and suffered another loss to be down 3-2 in the series.
game 4 bs vs caps
The bruins lose a tough one on the road to the Capitals 2-1. With the bruins losing their second game of the playoffs, the series is now tied at 2 wins each. The Bruins head back to Boston for game 5 and will try to get the series lead back.

Game 3 vs Caps
Another great game by these two teams. Seven combined goals were scored throughout the game. Captain Zdeno Chara scores the go ahead goal with two minutes left in regulation. Goalie Tim Thomas made a few key saves with the final minutes ticking down to keep the game out of OT. The game ended with a few potential fights. I would highly recommend people to watch the next game on Thursday, it will be a good one!!
Game 2 vs Capitals
Unlike game 1, the Bruins lost a second overtime thriller at home. The game Bruins trailed by one going into the third period. Benoit Pouliot, the left wing for the Bs tied the game with his first playoff goal. The game ended in a tie at the end of regulation forcing another overtime. Both teams unable to score during the second overtime, forcing a second. About three minutes into the second OT, Nick Backstorm of the Capitals scored the winning goal. Bruins will travel to Washington for game three on monday.
Game 1 vs Capitals
The series started off with a bang! I posted a picture that my father took from his seats during game 1. At the end of regulation the game was tied 0-0. Only about a minute or two into OT, Chris Kelly scores a goal and makes himself the hero of the game. This is a big deal that the defending champs take game one of the series.

Playoff hockey
Its that time of year again the Bruins start the playoffs Thursday looking to repeat what they did last year. The Bs ended the regular season with an outstanding 49-29-4 record. This record put them on the top of the leader board clinching the top spot of the division. The Bruins will take on Ovechkin and the Capitals in the first round of playoffs. This will be a great series to watch.. Go Bruins!!

st. pattys day thriller
About two weeks ago, the start of our spring break I had the opportunity to attend a Bruins game. This game was one of the best endings I have ever seen live in sports. At the end of regulation, each team was tied and forced a sudden death overtime for 5 minutes. By the end of overtime the score was still tied which forced a shoot out. I have never seen a shootout live before and it was an amazing experience. The first five skaters hit every goal and it was up to goalie Tim Thomas to make the game winning save and that is what he did. The crowd erupted and it was a great feeling, and an amazing way to start my St. Pattys day celebrations.

Bruins vs Toronto
The Bs pull out a nice win after losing their last two games. Tyler Seguin and Jordan Caron scored two goals a piece. Tim Thomas had 25 saves and allowed 4 goals to get by. Chris Kelly was the other Bruin to score, which allowed them to earn their 5th win against the Maple Leafs this year. The Bruins host the Sabres this Thursday 3/8 at home.

Tough Day for Bruins
Not only did the bruins lose a tough one 3-2, to the 14th placed New York islanders, but two key players left the game with injury. Goaltender Tuukka Rask and forward Daniel Paille both left the game early with injuries. Tuukka left the game with having trouble putting any weight on his left leg. Paille suffered an undisclosed injury and will miss the next game. Tuukka is a very devastating loss for the Bs where he is the back up to all-star goalie Tim Thomas. With Tuukka out they will not have a dominant back up for Thomas when he needs rest. I will be sure to update the blog when further information is released on how bad the injuries are and when they will return to play.
